H.E. Ambassador Shi Ting Wang Pays a Farewell Call to the First Lady of Malawi

On April 11 2018, the outgoing Chinese Ambassador to Malawi, H.E. Mr. Shi Ting Wang and his spouse Mrs. Wang paid a farewell call to the First Lady of Malawi, Professor Gertrude Mutharika.

Ambassador Wang thanked Professor Gertrude Mutharika for attaching great importance to the development of China-Malawi relations and for her strong support towards the work of the Chinese Embassy in Malawi. Malawi is a beautiful and peaceful country, with friendly people, the experience here will be an unforgettable fond memory. Ambassador Wang said that the China-Malawi relations is enjoying a good momentum of growth. The Embassy will continue to work closely with the First Lady's office to promote education and develop programs for women and children in the country. With concerted efforts, China-Malawi relations will go to a new height to benefit both peoples from the two countries. 

Professor Gertrude Mutharika thanked Ambassador Wang for his great contribution to the development of Malawi, especially for the education promotion and women and children development. In the past two years, the two sides have carried out a series of productive activities such as Girls Education Sponsorship, Sanitation Improvement and Human Resources Training, which proved to be fruitful and are highly rated by the local communities. The first lady felt sad for Mr. and Mrs. Wang's departure, wish them to continue giving attention and support to Malawi and stated that she would continue to work together with the Chinese Embassy to push forward the bilateral cooperation in various fields.
