| Chinese Embassy in Malawi Visits Chinese Community in Southern Reigion |

From November 24th to 25th, Mr. Wang Hao, Chargé d’Affaires a.i of the Chinese Embassy in Malawi, led a team to the southern region of Malawi to visit Chinese community and met with officials from local government and University of Malawi (UNIMA). Wang met with the consular assistance volunteers of the Embassy, and exchanged ideas on the living conditions and business operations of the local Chinese community. The Embassy also provided mobile consular services such as processing passport renewal applications, which were welcomed by the Chinese nationals.
Wang met with His Worship Councillor Joseph Mankhwinja, Mayor of Blantyre City to exchange views on bilateral local government cooperation. He also met with Dr.Noel Kayira, South West Region Police Commissioner, requesting the Malawian side to make every effort to protect the safety of the local Chinese community.
Wang also visited UNIMA where he met with Professor Mkali Idruss Samson Sajidu, Vice-Chancellor of UNIMA and other scholars. Wang briefed them on Xi Jinping Thought on Diplomacy, and the outcomes of Summit of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation (FOCAC). |
