On March 11th, Chinese Ambassador to Malawi, Lu Xu, met with Dr. Betchani Tchereni, Secretary to the Treasury of Malawi’s Ministry of Finance. The two sides engaged in cordial discussions on strengthening China-Malawi relations and deepening practical bilateral cooperation.

Dr. Tchereni noted that since the establishment of diplomatic ties between Malawi and China, Malawi has consistently benefited from China’s assistance. He expressed hope to further enhance practical cooperation with China across a broader range of areas.

Ambassador Lu inquired about Malawi’s future development priorities and expressed the willingness to continue strengthening coordination with the Ministry of Finance, with a view to advancing China-Malawi friendship to the new heights.
