On March 20th, Chinese Ambassador to Malawi, Mme. Lu Xu met with Malawian President Dr. Lazarus McCarthy Chakwera. The two sides exchanged views on bilateral relations and practical cooperation. 

Lu stressed that China-Malawi relations have been developing rapidly and steadily in recent years, and the practical cooperation between the two sides in various fields has delivered fruitful results. China is ready to work with Malawi to promote bilateral relations to a new level under the guidance of the consensus reached by the two heads of state, and jointly build a high-level China-Malawi community with a shared future. 

President Chakwera thanks China for its valuable support for Malawi's economic and social development. He said, Malawi has always regarded China as a reliable and strategic partner, and is willing to continue strengthening cooperation with China in various areas, jointly writing a new chapter in bilateral relations.
