On September 9th, the Chinese Embassy in Malawi held a tripartite meeting in Lilongwe with the Malawi Police and the Chinese community to address security issues.

Chinese Ambassador to Malawi, H.E. Lu Xu spoke at the meeting, calling on Chinese community in Malawi to enhance security awareness, strengthen self-protection, and share information and resources to support each other. The Malawi Police briefed on the current security situation and pledged effective measures to safeguard the lives and property of local Chinese community. 

Earlier, the Embassy held two similar joint meetings with the local police and Chinese communities in southern and northern Malawi.
