On February 26, China and Malawi held a ceremony for the signing of the Agreement on Development Cooperation. Ambassador Lu Xu and Hon. Joseph Mwanamvekha, M.P., Minister of Finance, Economic Planning and Decentralization of Malawi, attended the ceremony and signed the agreement. Counselor Zhang Chunfa and other Malawian government officials were present. 

After the ceremony, Ambassador Lu and Minister Mwanamvekha were interviewed by local mainstream media.
