On April 10, China and Malawi co-held a handover ceremony for the China aid reconstruction and extension of Crossroads - Kanengo M1 Road. Ambassador Lu Xu and Hon. Jappie Mhango, M.P., Minister of Transport and Public Works of Malawi signed the handover certificate on behalf of each country. Representatives from Malawi’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Transport and Public Works, Lilongwe City Council, Shandong Luqiao Group and local communities were present.

After the ceremony, Ambassador Lu were interviewed by local mainstream media.
